Bishop Gregg joined the Hood Community in the Spring 2020 semester after 42 years of active ministry in The Episcopal Church as Deacon, Priest, and Bishop. He will be offering required courses in theology and seminars on various topics in theology and the practice of ministry.

He has published numerous articles on topics ranging from sacramental theology in Richard Hooker’s Laws of Ecclesiastical Polity to a discussion of the concept and practice of love in Christian and Muslim thought to ecclesiology based on I Corinthians 12. He gives retreats, quiet days, and teachings in The Episcopal Church and in the Diocese of North Carolina. Before moving to Salisbury, he served as rector of the St. Paul Anglican Parish in San Miguel de Allende, México for four years.

Beyond Hood, Bishop Gregg serves as rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Reidsville, NC and takes occasional Episcopal Visitations for the Bishop of North Carolina.

With his wife, Kathy, he lives next door to campus at Trinity Oaks. They have a son and two grandsons who live in Salisbury.
