All interested individuals are invited to participate in a Wesley Heritage and Historic England Tour -- A Pilgrimage of Art, History and Wesleyan Faith -- led by Dr. Albert J.D. Aymer and Dr. Donald Haynes May 18-27, 2008. This trip is a marvelous pilgrimage of art, history and Wesleyan faith. Pilgrims will travel to Epworth where they will visit “The Old Rectory” of Samuel and Susanna Wesley. At Wesley Memorial Church Dr. Peter Graves of Cambridge will share thoughts on British Methodism. Pilgrims will worship in front of the “charred cross” at Coventry Cathedral and in Oxford they will visit Christ Church College , the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin and the home of C.S. Lewis. In Bristol the home of Charles Wesley and “The New Room” await pilgrims and then Hanham Mount where Wesley preached to the miners. The next stop will be the port of Pill where Francis Asbury boarded ship to sail to America . Among the many highlights of London will be celebration on the Lord’s Day at Wesley’s Chapel and the opportunity to reflect upon Wesley’s “heart-warming experience” on Aldersgate Street .
