Application for Graduation

Mission Statement
The Registrar performs a variety of services for past and present students. The Registrar’s primary functions include: registration and add/drop; transcript processing; grade report distribution; enrollment certification; graduation evaluation; and the organization of the commencement ceremony. The Registrar is committed to delivering the highest level of services to faculty, staff, students and administration.

Transcripts
Students may purchase an official copy of their transcript at a cost of $5.00. An official transcript has the raised seal of the seminary and the Registrar’s signature. Written consent from the student and payment of the transcript fee must be received before a transcript will be prepared. Electronic signatures and e-mail communications are not accepted in lieu of written consent.

The following information should be provided to insure that the correct transcript is processed: full name while in attendance, date of birth, social security number, dates of attendance, and or graduation date. The request should be signed by the student and sent with the check or money order for $5.00/transcript, to the attention of the Registrar, Hood Theological Seminary, 1810 Lutheran Synod Dr., Salisbury, NC 28144. Withdrawal/Leave of Absence
Students discontinuing their studies at the seminary are required to complete an Application for Withdrawal/Leave of Absence. Click here for a printable version of the application.
