Salisbury Campus

The Seminary is located on Lutheran Synod Drive with easy access to Interstate 85. Originally a motel property, it was purchased by the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in 2004. The existing buildings were remodeled to provide classrooms, faculty offices, administrative offices, a temporary chapel and library, two residence halls, a temporary refectory and a student lounge. In 2014, a new 10,000 square foot multi-purpose facility was dedicated after a year-long construction project - The Aymer Center for Spiritual Growth and Ministerial Formation – named in honor of Rev. Dr. Albert J. D. Aymer, first president of Hood Theological Seminary and now President Emeritus. The Aymer Center has a spacious refectory, state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, and private conference room. This environmentally and sustainably-constructed building was a major step toward becoming an environmentally responsible community. The adaptive reuse of this property has helped to foster the Seminary’s growing emphasis on creation care, sustainable practices, and energy and resource conservation while providing ample room for all facets of the Seminary's life.

The Aymer Center and other Hood Theological Seminary facilities are available to the members of the Seminary community and to the wider Salisbury-Rowan community. If interested, please contact J. Frances King at 704-636-6823 or jking@hoodseminary.edu.
